0G Ecosystem Receives $290M in Financing to Develop World's First Decentralized AI Operating System

Zero Gravity Labs (0G Labs or 0GL), a core contributor building the software that will underlie the world's first decentralized AI Operating System (dAIOS), has announced a fundraising milestone by completing a $40M seed raise from leading VCs that follows the $35 million pre-seed raise from earlier this year. The 0G Foundation, the independent long-term governance Foundation for the 0G Protocol, has also secured $250M in a liquid line / token purchase commitment. This takes the total committed capital throughout the 0G ecosystem to $325M solidifying 0G's position as a leading decentralized AI ecosystem.

The participants in the rounds included Hack VC as well as Delphi Ventures, OKX Ventures, Samsung Next, Bankless Ventures, Yat Siu and Animoca, Blockchain Builders Fund, Awaken Finance, Dao5, Coinbureau, Santiago, Alchemy, Gumi, No Limits Holdings, Alumni Ventures, Master Ventures, Longhash, IBC, Polygon and Sandeep Nailwal, Deadalus, NGC, Nonce Classic, Kudasai, Blockdaemon, Adrian Cheng, Foresight, Hack VC’s LPs such as Blue Pool Capital, Bolts, Orange Dao, and Alliance Dao with the highest SAFE valuation cap exceeding $2 billion 

0G's decentralized ecosystem has more than 200 backers, including traditional AI investors such as Abstract VC, Emad Mostaque, Ed Roman, Joanne Chen, and LifeX. This diverse investor base underscores the careful selection process and commitment to decentralization.

The liquid line will enable the Foundation to draw upon any liquid digital assets held on leading exchanges at OTC rates. The Foundation may utilize the funds as required to support project development and the ecosystem.

As the world’s first decentralized AI operating system, dAIOS will operate at the intersection of web3 and artificial intelligence. 0G’s solution will be optimized for data availability, ensuring accessible and efficiently managed data for AI processes through infinite scalability without bottlenecks.

dAIOS will provide a decentralized, secure environment for massive datasets, handling high throughput of up to 50 GB/second. An inference layer will support real-time AI computation directly onchain, offering faster insights without the need for off-chain processing. 

The need for decentralized AI solutions has been reinforced by growing concerns over data privacy, security breaches, and the monopolization of AI technologies. 0GL’s decentralized AI Operating System aims to address these issues by providing an infrastructure where AI applications can run securely and transparently onchain.

With funding in place, 0GL intends to fast-track development of its projects in the 0G ecosystem, expand its team including leading experts in AI research and blockchain engineering, and to work with premier academic institutions and industry leaders, fostering opportunities to work together that will drive advancements in decentralized AI.
