0G is pleased to announce its partnership with Pond, providing data storage and data availability infrastructure to support Pond’s Graph Neural Network (GNN) ecosystem. Pond enables the creation and deployment of GNN models on-chain, which requires quick data while remaining fully interoperable with external models. 

The partnership provides the necessary infrastructure to support this, with Pond’s GNN models using 0G’s storage solution to store and access data on a massive scale. Furthermore, externally-created models may use Pond to merge for further model enhancement, while relying upon 0G DA for data availability.

Graph Neural Networks

Users, applications, and blockchain networks are inherently interconnected in Web3 and their complex relationships most closely resemble neural network structures, for which GNN models are best suited. GNNs consist of nodes (representing entities, such as a wallet) and edges (representing relationships between entities). AI allows these relationships to be analyzed for purposes such as node classification, link prediction, graph classification, and graph generation.

By creating tailored GNN models using vast amounts of on-chain data, Pond provides the optimal AI infrastructure needed to learn from on-chain behaviors and predict future action. 

Examples of use cases include:

  • Price Predictions: on-chain behavioral sentiment analysis, price prediction, or automated A.I. trading.

  • Financial AI: DEX liquidity prediction and optimization, event prediction, and AI-powered yield strategies. 

  • Security: such as monitoring for abnormal on-chain behavior or on-chain auditing.

  • On-Chain Marketing: recommendation engines, tailored on-chain marketing, etc.

SocialFi & Gaming: analysis of in-game actions, social behavior behavior, and more.

While Pond has their own models, others may also build on top of their stored data to create newly optimized models. This will also support future use cases, such as Pond’s SDK which will provide both a data storage service and model creation service, which will benefit from a direct integration with 0G’s data storage and DA solutions. Furthermore, 0G’s integration with various L1 and L2 networks means that all of Pond’s networks are supported from the get-go.

We also expect to see significant network effects over time, as more AI projects integrate with 0G, and in turn, can integrate with Pond’s models.
