EthCC [9] Cannes Recap: A Week of Building with 0G
Five hosted events, four speaking slots, and 44 hackathon submissions. Here's how 0G showed up at EthCC [9] in Cannes.
Over six days at EthCC [9] in Cannes, 0G hosted five events, put four speakers on stage, and awarded $15,000 across 44 hackathon submissions. Every activation was centered on one message: building the infrastructure that AI agents need to operate onchain.
Zero Noise Yoga
📍 Yoga Flow Cannes Studio | March 31 | Luma
We kicked off the week with Connected Yoga, an immersive sound-based session on the French Riviera. Attendees wore headphones for guided breathwork and yoga, designed to give builders and the team a grounded start before a packed schedule.
We run these wellness sessions at every conference week. The people building autonomous infrastructure need space to recharge too.

OpenClaw Onchain Meetup
📍 Dev's Villa | March 31 | Luma
Same day, different energy. The OpenClaw Meetup brought together developers working at the intersection of 0G and decentralized AI. This was a working session, not a panel. The team walked through OpenClaw's architecture and how it connects to 0G's infrastructure, and the conversations that followed went deeper than anything you'd get on a stage.

House of AI: After Dark
📍 Dev's Villa | March 31 | Luma
We closed out March 31 with a cocktail evening at our villa by the sea. Three events in one day, from yoga in the morning to cocktails at sunset. Between the drinks and the French coastline, conversations ranged from the technicalities of data availability to the long-term vision for autonomous agents.

Zero Coding with 0G
📍 Carlton Cannes | April 1 | Luma
Zero Coding returned for its Cannes edition, and the turnout beat what we saw at ETHDenver. Previous attendees came back alongside a new wave of builders, all working on AI-powered applications using vibe coding tools and workflows that bridge the gap for both developers and non-technical creators.
Picking just three winners from the submissions was difficult:
Zero Training took first place with a decentralized federated learning framework on 0G. It enables privacy-preserving collaborative model training where multiple parties contribute data without exposing it. The final aggregated model is minted as an Agentic ID (ERC-7857), making the output verifiable and tradeable onchain.
BountyMaxxing came in second. It's a decentralized autonomous brain that takes money-making schemes, works on them while streaming its thought process, and distributes earnings to anyone who contributed along the way.
0GClaw took third with Agentic IDs that have built-in cron jobs and x402 payments for autonomous agent-to-agent interaction. Fully decentralized, tradeable, and living onchain.
Honorable mentions:
- OpenWalks - Open-source travel content curator where creators upload local content and earn rewards
- Subgraph MCP - An MCP server that lets 0G agents fetch onchain data from subgraphs for market sentiment analysis
- Dantian Agent Certification - A framework that anchors AI agent capability claims onchain, solving unverifiable agent credentials

Speaking at EthCC week
The 0G team had four speaking engagements across the week. Jake Salerno (VP of GTM), Michael Dressler (Head of Success), George V. (Strategic Partnerships Lead), and Gathin T. (DevRel Engineer) each brought a different angle on decentralized AI.
FP Block panel
📍 Cote d'Azur Villa | April 1
Michael Dressler joined the "Hardened Security in an AI-Driven World" panel alongside Wesley Crook (CEO, FP Block), Danny Sanders (COO, Trezor), and Mark Latyshevich (Head of Growth, CoolWallet). The discussion focused on how AI is making phishing and digital attacks more sophisticated and what hardware and infrastructure providers can do to stay ahead.

EthCC main stage
📍 Burton Stage | April 1 | EthCC agenda | EthCC on X
Jake Salerno delivered "Why Verification Should Be a First-Class Citizen in AI" to a packed room. People were sitting on the floor.
The presentation laid out the AI industry's reliance on trust assumptions and made the case for verification as a core design philosophy. 0G was positioned as the blockchain for AI agents, with the talk built on three pillars:
- Verified Compute through Sealed Inference with TEEs, where nobody, including 0G, can see your data during processing
- Verified Identity through Agentic ID (ERC-7857), giving AI agents onchain ownership and provenance
- Verified Training through DiLoCoX-107B, the largest decentralized model training run at 107 billion parameters
The thesis: verification is the design, not a feature you bolt on later.

Hackseasons Cannes
📍 Hackseasons by MPost | April 2
George V. delivered a keynote making the case that decentralized AI is a public good. The presentation focused on rebuilding high-performance infrastructure to bring AI onchain, with emphasis on high-throughput data availability and low-cost storage as alternatives to the rising costs of centralized model training.

ETHGlobal workshop
📍 ETHGlobal Cannes | Day 1
Gathin T. led a workshop called "Building AI Agents the Web3 Way." The session gave builders a hands-on roadmap for building decentralized AI agents using 0G's tools, showing that the stack for this is already live.

Builders Villa and Pragma
📍 Dev's Villa | April 2 | Luma
On April 2, we opened our home base in Cannes for the Builders Villa. This was an informal open house for developers, founders, and partners to drop in throughout the day for conversations, demos, and white-boarding sessions. Several of the week's hackathon projects got their start here.

Beyond our hosted events, we had a booth at Pragma, as part of our larger ETHGlobal partnerships. Keep an eye out for future hackathons.

ETHGlobal Hackathon
📍 Palais des Festivals | April 3-5 | Prize page
We put up a $15,000 bounty at ETHGlobal Cannes, and 44 teams submitted projects using our infrastructure. The range was wide: autonomous trading agents, secure onchain identity solutions, agentic firewalls, and decentralized truth verification.
Best OpenClaw Agent on 0G
Croisette.cc took first place with a 24/7 autonomous investing platform where AI agents manage your portfolio onchain. It removes the need for manual intervention and centralized management entirely.
DIVE came in second with a decentralized intelligence verification engine that uses an AI swarm to resolve real-world truth for prediction markets. Every outcome is settled autonomously onchain via a Sybil-resistant agent committee.
Orchestra placed third, building a conversational AI agent that lets you swap and send crypto using plain language, with Ledger hardware security under the hood for every transaction.
Best DeFi App on 0G
Shawarma Orchestrate won with a multi-agent swarm prediction orchestrator that coordinates AI agents across 0G Compute and 0G Storage to generate market predictions, with Uniswap as the execution layer.
Honorable mentions:
- Alpha Dawg - Autonomous AI swarm that runs onchain trade debates between agents and cryptographically proves every decision step
- Don't Get Drained - Agentic firewall marketplace where security agents monitor and intercept DeFi transactions in real time
Wildcard on 0G
- Indelible - Decentralized platform for querying and verifying political statements in a tamper-proof, time-anchored way
- CaaS - One-click WorldClaw deployer that gives every verified human their own autonomous agent identity, with payments in WLD via x402

Frequently asked questions
What is 0G?
0G is the blockchain for AI agents. Modular storage, compute, data availability, and an AI-first chain in one stack. Every AI action verified onchain. Mainnet (Aristotle) has been live since September 2025.
What did 0G present at EthCC [9]?
Jake Salerno's keynote introduced 0G's verification framework built on three pillars: Verified Compute (Sealed Inference), Verified Identity (Agentic ID via ERC-7857), and Verified Training (DiLoCoX-107B). The core argument: verification should be the design, not an afterthought.
How much was the ETHGlobal bounty?
0G offered $15,000 in bounties at ETHGlobal Cannes 2026. 44 teams submitted projects across three categories: Best OpenClaw Agent, Best DeFi App, and Wildcard.
